The World's Greatest Drummer 2007

The World's Greatest Drummer is a concert inspired by the legacy of Buddy Rich who to many was known as the World's Greatest Drummer. It also includes takes on other pioneering drummers of that era. It was first staged at Lichfield Garrick in September 2007 and was an instant success, becoming one of their fastest selling shows that year and attracting a wide audience from all over the UK, including drummers, jazz enthusiasts, families, and those who just love good music. In 2008, Palmerlive decided to bring the show to Town Hall, Birmingham where again, it received a standing ovation from over 800 people.

With world class drumming at its heart, this show is a unique opportunity to experience the sight and sound of todays leading drummers playing on the same stage – both individually and simultaneously. Showcasing a range of musical styles, this show has been a big hit and is fast becoming the most successful drumming event on the British drumming calendar .

What makes The World's Greatest Drummer so popular? The unique angle in fusing a selection of leading pop and rock drummers from the present day and placing them into an environment in which they would not normally perform. Whilst literally every serious drummer to some extent would have been influenced by Buddy Rich this concert is a unique. The atmosphere within the venue is buzzing and this event provides the drummers with an opportunity to be the star of the show. This Concert enables us all to give something back as Palmerlive are commited to raising funds for our chosen charity - Teenage Cancer Trust.

What's the highlight? The finale... you will have to find out about that yourselves!
